1.     Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and Education, Ms Indranee Rajah will be in Chile and the United States of America from 14 to 19 October 2019. Minister Indranee will attend the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting, G20 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, and annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG).

2.     The APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting, held in Chile, will discuss key APEC priorities. They include boosting the integration of financial markets through the digital economy, financial inclusion, financial management of disaster risks, and other financial cooperation matters.

3.     The G20 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, held in the US, will discuss recent macroeconomic developments and financial sector issues, while the annual meetings of the IMF and WBG will deliberate on issues of global concern.

4.     Minister Indranee will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Enterprise Singapore, and Infrastructure Asia.
