Minister Indranee Rajah To Attend The ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors' Meeting and The Asian Development Bank Annual Meeting in Incheon, Republic of Korea

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and National Development, Ms Indranee Rajah, will be in Incheon, Republic of Korea (ROK), from 1 to 5 May 2023 to attend the 26th ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (AFMGM+3), the 56th Asian Development Bank (ADB) Annual Meeting and the ASEAN-Japan 50th Anniversary Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Special Meeting. 
 
2. The AFMGM+3 will discuss key regional economic developments and outlook, as well as ways to further strengthen regional financial cooperation through initiatives like the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation, ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), Asian Bonds Market Initiative (ABMI) and ASEAN+3 Future Initiatives. The ADB Annual Meeting will discuss development issues in Asia and ways to deepen cooperation across the 68 member economies, as well as future directions for the ADB under the theme “Rebounding Asia: Recover, Reconnect and Reform”. The ASEAN-Japan 50th Anniversary Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Special Meeting will discuss emerging issues and new areas of cooperation between ASEAN members and Japan, including financial digitalisation, sustainable finance and supply chain resilience. Minister Indranee will also meet with her counterparts on the sidelines, as well as ROK government leaders in Seoul.

3. Minister Indranee will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and Monetary Authority of Singapore.
