Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam To Visit Berlin And San Francisco, 7-10 June 2010
06 Jun 2010Minister for Finance, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will be in San Francisco and Berlin over 7 to 10 June 2010 to attend and speak at two conferences on global economic challenges.
2 He will deliver the opening keynote address at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Conference on "Global Recovery: Asia and the New Financial Landscape" on 7 June.
3 In Berlin, Minister Tharman will speak at a conference on 9-10 June organised by Economic Council Germany on the theme "Getting Back on Course: Post Crisis Strategies for Growth and Fiscal Consolidation". German Finance Minister Dr Wolfgang Schäuble and Minister Tharman will deliver opening keynote addresses. While in Berlin, Minister Tharman will also have meetings with Minister Schäuble, Bundesbank President Axel Weber, and senior German politicians.
