Minister For Health And Second Minister For Finance Attending ADB & ASEAN Meetings
09 May 2002Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Health and 2nd Minister for Finance, leaves today for Shanghai, PRC to attend the Asian Development Bank 35th Annual Meeting and ASEAN Plus Three (China, Japan, and Republic of Korea) Finance Ministers' Meeting, to be held from 10-12 May 2002.
The Asian Development Bank Annual Meeting will discuss issues concerning how the ADB resources could be used to effectively reduce global poverty, as well as the rules and regulations governing the use of the Bank's funds. The ASEAN Plus Three Finance Ministers' meetings will discuss economic and financial developments in the region.
Mr Lim will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
