Have Your Say On Budget 2008
30 Jan 2008The pre-Budget 2008 Feedback Exercise will close on 1 February 2008. Members of the public who wish to send in their views can do so before the deadline via the feedback channels listed at the end of the press release. This exercise was launched on 15 October 2007 to gather public views on how the Budget can meet the needs and aspirations of Singaporeans. The Ministry of Finance would like to thank all contributors who had already provided their feedback.
2. Minister for Finance, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will deliver the Budget Speech for the Financial Year 2008 in Parliament on Friday, 15 February 2008. Members of the public can log on to the Singapore Budget website (www.singaporebudget.gov.sg) to view the Budget Speech. The text of the Speech will be uploaded onto the website progressively as it is delivered.
3. The delivery of the Budget Speech will also be telecast "live" over Channel NewsAsia, with Chinese translation on dual sound mode, and over radio on 938Live.

4. Members of the public who wish to receive a softcopy of the Budget Speech can register their request on the Budget website from Wednesday, 30 January 2008 onwards. The softcopy will be emailed to them on the same day after the Budget Speech has been delivered in Parliament.
Post-Budget 2008 Feedback
5. The Ministry of Finance would also like to hear the public's views on the initiatives announced in the Budget Speech. The post-Budget 2008 Feedback Exercise will open on 15 February at 6pm for members of the public to provide their views on Budget 2008. The feedback channels are listed at the end of the press release.
