Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, To Attend G20 Finance Ministers Meeting From 19 To 21 September in Cairns, Australia

1. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, is attending the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting in Cairns, Australia from 19 to 21 September 2014.
2. The meeting will discuss a broad range of issues in the lead-up to the G20 Brisbane Summit, including global economic developments, infrastructure investment, financial regulation and tax. DPM Tharman will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts while in Cairns.
3. DPM Tharman will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
