ATM Sign Up For GST Credits Ends On 15 July 2007
13 Jul 2007Singaporeans who have not signed up for their GST Credits have until 15 July 2007 to do so at the ATMs. Thereafter, Singaporeans have until 31 December 2007 to sign up through the website (www.gstoffset.gov.sg) or by using the GST/1 forms available at any CC, CDC, SingPost office or CPF Service Centre.
2. The payment will be made to their accounts within 4 working days for applications done via the website or ATM, or 10 working days for applications through hard copy forms. Those requesting for cheque payment will receive their cheque within 15 working days.
3 As at 11 July 2007, 2.2 million or 93% of eligible Singaporeans have signed up for their GST Credits. Of those who have signed up, 47% did so via the internet, 45% via the ATMs, and 8% using hard copy forms.
4 Singaporeans who require help to sign-up, can approach officers at any of the 27 CitizenConnect Centres at Community Centres/Clubs and government offices. A list of CitizenConnect Centres is attached at Annex A. Grassroots leaders will also continue to do walkabouts to help the elderly and low income families sign up.
