I refer to Ms Sainab Suvil's letter "Government's Bonus and House Issue" (BH, 11 March 2006), asking whether she and her mother qualify for the Progress Package if they had sold their flat and are currently living with a family member.

2. Under the Progress Package, the Growth Dividends, CPF top-ups and Workfare Bonus given to all eligible adult Singaporeans will depend on the Annual Value of the homes they stay in as listed on their NRIC. It does not matter whether they own the homes or not.

3. All eligible Singaporeans will receive notification letters in late March informing them of the amounts they qualify for and how to sign up to receive their Progress Package. If Ms Suvil requires further clarification, she can call the Progress Package hotline 1800-2222-888 or email progress@cpf.gov.sg.
