Firm's bid submission wasn't completed: Finance Ministry

MS CATHERINE Khoo said a bid she submitted via the Government Electronic Business (GeBiz) portal failed to go through, and asked if this was due to a technical glitch ("Bid submitted but not received: Was there a glitch?"; Forum Online, last Tuesday).

The Ministry of Finance attaches the highest priority to the reliability of the GeBiz portal, so that businesses can be assured of the integrity of their transactions with the Government.

A thorough investigation of the case reported by Ms Khoo was conducted. The system records show that her company, Janus Education Services, had logged in to the portal an hour and a half before the bid submission deadline of 1pm on Feb 28, and uploaded a total of 11 files. However, the records also show that the "submit" button had not been clicked to complete the bid submission.

We have since contacted Ms Khoo to share the findings of the investigation with her.
