Visit by DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam to Chengdu, China for G20 Finance Meetings

1. Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies, Tharman Shanmugaratnam will be attending the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Chengdu, China from 23 to 24 July 2016. The G20 meeting will discuss policies to enhance economic resilience amidst new global uncertainties.
2. DPM Tharman will also be a speaker at the G20 High Level Tax Symposium on 23 July 2016. The Symposium will cover the design of tax policies to support innovation-driven and inclusive growth, and to enhance tax certainty for businesses in the digital economy.
3. DPM Tharman will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
