To ask the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance:
For the last five years, what is the total amount of stamp fees collected by the Government in respect of property transactions.
Reply by DPM and Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam:
Over the five financial years from FY 2006/07 to FY 2010/11, the total amount of stamp duties collected in respect of transactions on sales and purchase of properties was $10.87 billion.
