Second Minister for Finance Mrs Lim Hwee Hua to Attend ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers' Meetings In Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 1 - 3 May 2010

Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Finance and Transport Mrs Lim Hwee Hua will be in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 1 to 3 May 2010 to attend the 13th ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers' Meetings (AFMM+3). She will also attend the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The Finance Ministers from ASEAN, China, Japan and Korea will discuss ways to further regional financial cooperation. The 43rd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of ADB will discuss issues pertaining to Asia's role as the growth engine, as the global economy comes out of the financial crisis and economic downturn.

Mrs Lim will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance.
