Minister Of State For Finance And Transport To Attend The 10th ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers' Meeting And 40th Asian Development Bank Annual Meeting, 5-7 May 2007, Kyoto, Japan

Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, Minister of State for Finance and Transport, leaves today for Kyoto, Japan to attend the 10th ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers' Meeting and 40th Asian Development Bank Annual Meeting, to be held from 5-7 May 2007.

2. The ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers will discuss issues such as the strengthening of monetary and financial cooperation in East Asia.

3. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Annual Meeting will discuss the ADB's annual report for 2006, the 2007 ADB Budget and the allocation of ADB's resources. Mrs Lim will be delivering the Singapore's Governor's address during the Annual Meeting.

4. Mrs Lim will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
