Minister Heng Swee Keat to focus on Innovation and R&D during Meetings in the United States

Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Finance, will be in New York City in the United States from 4-9 October 2015 on a working visit. Mr Heng, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the National Research Foundation, will be meeting industry leaders of innovative companies that invest significantly in R&D, especially in the areas of biotechnology and info-communications technology.

While in the US, Mr Heng will also be meeting with officials, economists and financial sector professionals to discuss the state of the US and global economy, and the developments in the financial services industry.
