Minister for Finance, Tharman Shanmugaratnam to attend 17th APEC Finance Ministers' Meeting

Minister for Finance, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will be in Kyoto, Japan from 5 to 6 November 2010 to participate in the 17th APEC Finance Ministers' Meeting.

2.      The meeting will discuss economic and financial developments in the Asia-Pacific in the context of global conditions, including policies needed to achieve strong, balanced and sustained growth. Minister Tharman will also have bilateral meetings with some of his counterparts.

3.      Minister Tharman will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance.
