Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting and the 2018 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group

1. Minister for Finance, Mr Heng Swee Keat will be in Bali, Indonesia from 10 to 12 October 2018 to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, and the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group. Minister Heng will also attend the Singapore – Indonesia Leaders’ Retreat and ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering on 11 October 2018 as part of Singapore’s delegation led by PM Lee Hsien Loong.
2. The G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting will discuss recent global economic developments, as well as measures to promote infrastructure financing and global financial governance to advance strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth. The Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group will discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.
3. Minister Heng will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
