Deputy Prime Minister & Minister For Finance , Tharman Shanmugaratnam To Attend The 15th Asean+3 Finance Ministers Meeting In Manila

1. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will be in Manila from 3 to 4 May 2012 to attend the 15th ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting and 45th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). DPM Tharman will also deliver the keynote address at a forum for financial sector leaders, organised by the Philippines’ Department of Finance and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX).
2. At the ASEAN+3 meeting, Finance Ministers from ASEAN, China, Japan and Korea will discuss plans to strengthen regional financial cooperation, including the enhancement of the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation.
3. DPM Tharman will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
