Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam To Attend The Securities and Exchange Board of India's Silver Jubilee Commemoration Event

1.      Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will be in Mumbai, India on 24 May to deliver the keynote address at the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)’s Silver Jubilee commemorative event. He will speak on “Renewing Growth and Unlocking Long Term Finance”. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram will be attending the Silver Jubilee event.

2.      While in Mumbai, DPM will also meet with Chief Minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan and Indian business leaders. DPM Tharman will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance.
