1. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam will be in the United States to participate in the 18th APEC Finance Ministers' Meeting from 9 to 10 November 2011. The meeting will discuss policies to bring about strong, sustainable, and balanced growth in the APEC region, and ways to address the renewed challenges facing the global economy.
2. DPM Tharman will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance.
