1. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence Wong will be in Gandhinagar from 15 to 19 July 2023. He will attend the 3rd G20 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (FMCBG) under the 2023 G20 Indian Presidency.

2. The FMCBG will discuss issues such as the state of the global economy, advancing sustainable finance, including policies to transition towards greener and low-carbon futures, and reform of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs). DPM Wong will also meet his counterparts on the sidelines of the G20 FMCBG Meeting.

3. While in Gandhinagar, DPM Wong will also grace the awards ceremony of the Singapore-India Hackathon with India’s Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan; and inaugurate DBS Bank’s International Banking Unit at the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). 

4. DPM Wong will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Monetary Authority of Singapore.
