Appointments to the Accounting Standards Council (ASC)

1 The Minister for Finance has appointed two new members to the Accounting Standards Council (ASC). The two new ASC members are:

  • Mr Ong Khiaw Hong
    Chief Executive – Designate (Chief Executive with effect from 1 April 2017)
    Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority

  • Dr Ang Hak Seng
    Deputy Secretary
    Commissioner of Charities
    Executive Director, Registry of Co-operative Societies and Mutual Benefit Organisations
    Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth

2 Mr Ong’s appointment will take effect on 1 April 2017, while Dr Ang’s appointment took effect on 16 January 2017. The full list of ASC members is at Annex B.

The Ministry of Finance welcomes the new members and would like to express our appreciation to the retiring members, Mr Kenneth Yap and Mr Low Puk Yeong, for their contributions to the ASC.
