Appointment of Mr Evan Law As Chief Executive Of The Singapore Accountancy Commission

1. The Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) has appointed Mr Evan Law as Chief Executive of the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) with effect from 1 July 2016. The Minister for Finance has also appointed Mr Evan Law as a member of the Board of SAC with effect from the same date.

2. Mr Law takes over from Mr Uantchern Loh as the Chief Executive. Mr Loh has been instrumental in driving SAC’s initiatives, in particular, the Singapore Qualification Programme, which has seen its first batch of candidates graduate this year. He also played an important role in developing programmes in internal audit, business valuation and for the finance function of companies.  

3. The Ministry of Finance and the Singapore Accountancy Commission thank Mr Loh for his service and contributions to SAC and wish him every success in his future endeavours. We welcome Mr Law as SAC embarks on its next phase of development to transform Singapore into the global accountancy hub.
