$407 Million Worth Of Growth Dividends Given Out On 30 April 2008

2.3 million Singaporeans received the first installment of their Growth Dividends, worth a total of $407 million on 30 April 2008. They would also automatically receive their 2008 payout of GST Credits and Senior Citizens' Bonus on 1 July, as well as the second installment of Growth Dividends on 1 October 2008.
2. The Growth Dividends was introduced in the 2008 Budget Statement to share the Government's surpluses with Singaporeans. The Growth Dividends is being paid out in two installments this year.
3. About 86,000 Singaporeans who have yet to sign up for their GST Credits may still do so online (www.gstoffset.gov.sg) or through hardcopy GST/1 forms available at Community Centres/Clubs, Community Development Councils and CPF Service Centres. Once they have signed up for their GST Credits, they will automatically receive both their GST Credits and Growth Dividends based on the following schedule:
