160,000 Singaporeans to receive Grocery Vouchers in October 2021

About 160,000 Singaporeans will receive $100 worth of Grocery Vouchers in October 2021. This is part of the Care and Support Package announced at Budget 2020[1] to support less well-off Singaporeans with their household expenses during this period of economic uncertainty. All Singaporeans aged 21 and above this year who live in 1- and 2-room HDB flats, and do not own more than one property, are eligible for the Grocery Vouchers.
2 Eligible recipients received $300 in Grocery Vouchers in 2020. The Grocery Vouchers scheme will provide a total of about $63 million in assistance to eligible Singaporeans.
3 The Grocery Vouchers will be delivered to the homes of eligible recipients via registered mail.
a. A first delivery will made be from 2 October 2021 onwards.
b. If there is no one at home to receive the vouchers on the first delivery, there will be a second delivery attempt between the following Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
c. If there is no one to receive the second delivery, the courier will leave a Delivery Notification Card at the doorstep for recipients to collect their Grocery Vouchers at a specified post office within 10 working days.

4 The Grocery Vouchers can be used at the participating supermarkets – Giant, NTUC FairPrice, Prime Supermarket, and Sheng Siong Supermarket. To encourage a healthier lifestyle, recipients can enjoy 5% discounts off all Healthier Choice Symbol products (capped at 5% of the value of vouchers used for the purchase), at NTUC FairPrice, Prime Supermarket, and Sheng Siong Supermarket[2].
