"Are You a Budget Whiz?" - Launch of the Online Budget Quiz 2012

Singapore, January 4, 2012 – What are the components that constitute the one-off 'Grow & Share' Package announced in Budget 2011? What was the objective of the Workfare Training Support (WTS) scheme introduced in Budget 2010?

2      Such questions will be posed in the new Budget Quiz 2012 launched by the Ministry of Finance today on the Budget 2012 website. The weekly mini quiz aims to promote awareness and understanding of the the annual budget process, the various Budget Initiatives and the considerations behind the formulation of key social, economic and tax policies.

3      Comprising 10 questions per week, the weekly mini quiz will run for seven consecutive weeks until 28 February 2012. It is open to Singaporeans and PRs. Participants are allowed unlimited attempts at each week's quiz.

4      Participants who answer all 10 questions correctly will be eligible for a weekly lucky draw where five winners will stand to win $50 worth of prize each. Participants who have successfully achieved a perfect score for all seven rounds of the quiz will also be eligible for a grand lucky draw with the top prize worth $500.
