Note by Second Minister For Finance, Indranee Rajah, on the Variable Capital Companies Bill
02 Oct 2018The Variable Capital Companies (VCC) Bill was passed on 1 October 2018. The Bill provides for the incorporation and operation of a new corporate structure, the variable capital company, which is tailored for investment funds. This is the latest step to position Singapore as an Asian hub for fund management and fund domiciliation.
This Note summarises how the VCC framework will benefit the Singapore asset management industry, as well as local service providers.
