Our Mission is is to advance the well-being

We are responsible for the formulation of
taxation, budgetary, fiscal, procurement and
accounting policies. We manage the public
sector budget and the government's assets
and liabilities. We represent Singapore in
the international financial community. |

| The Ministry of
Finance adopts the standard employment schemes
for the Civil Service, with competitive starting
salaries based on educational qualifications.
Incremental credits will be offered to you
if you have completed national service and
/ or have relevant work experience. For more

If you join us as a Management Executive
Officer, you will be employed either as
a Policy Analyst or Management Executive,
depending on which of our 7 directorates
you are in. The terms of employment for
MSOs and CSOs are similar across all directorates.

| At MOF, we have drawn
up a comprehensive learning framework to equip
our employees with the knowledge, skills and
understanding needed to perform their jobs.
All new employees will first be placed under
a series of core induction programs designed
to introduce them to the Civil Service and
MOF. They will then attend basic competency
training programs relevant to their respective
job scopes, over and above the on-the-job
training they will receive. In addition, MOF
offers its own post-graduate Scholarship and
training awards to eligible employees by sponsoring
them for courses which are relevant to MOF
functions so as to develop them to their fullest
potential. We also have monthly in-house training
sessions for all our Officers where speakers
from the public, private and people sectors
are invited to share their experience and
best practices with us. |

ROTATION |
| |
| MOF encourages all Management
Executive Officers and Management Support
Officers who have served at least three years
in the same position to rotate to another
unit or directorate for exposure. For the
same reason, officers may also be seconded
to MOF's departments, statutory boards or
even other Ministries. We also have attachments
to well-established companies in the private
sector for the purpose of giving Officers
greater depth in their work. |
