6am: Have I fed the fishes?

[ Myron ]

"Time to feed baby again, darling?"
"Where's my toothbrush?"
"Have I fed the fishes?"
"Where did I place the contact details of the people I am meeting?"
"Do I have any papers to read for the meeting this morning?"

So begins another day for me at the Fiscal Policy Directorate (FP).

8am: External Meeting

"What's NEV?"
"What's NOSAT?"
"What's WACC?"
"What's with people and acronyms?"
"How can I convince people to use NEV?"

Incidentally, NEV stands for Net Economic Value and my job is to help see that it is implemented in the statutory boards as part of a resource management initiative i.e. help maximise every tax dollar spent.
