Budget Quiz 2011 aims to improve your understanding of the considerations behind the formulation of the annual Singapore Budget, as well as existing Government policies.

Get set for two rounds of quizzes! Each round will last for three weeks.

First round: 1 January 2011 – 21 January 2011
Second round: 22 January 2011 – 11 February 2011

The short teaser on Facebook was launched in December 2010 and is still available for you to try.

Each round of the quiz contains 20 multiple-choice questions.

There is no time limit set to answer the 20 questions.

At the end of the quiz, you will find out the number of questions that you have answered correctly.

Participants can take the quiz more than once. However, only the entry with the highest score will be submitted as an entry for the top prize.

Questions are based on policies of the Singapore Government. These would cover fiscal, economic, taxation and social policies.   

For each round of the quiz, there will be five winners consisting of one grand prize and four merit prizes.

Grand Prize : iPad (32GB 3G + WiFi)

Merit Prize : $200 cash vouchers each

Where there is a tie, MOF will conduct a ballot to identify the winners.

This quiz is only open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs).

The list of winners will be published on the Budget Quiz website, together with the answers for the round of questions, after each round of the quiz ends. The winners for the 1st quiz will be announced on 22 January 2011; winners for the 2nd quiz will be announced on 14 February 2011.

The winners will be notified by phone.

All decisions made by the organiser are final.
