The Government Administration Sector comprises the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the Ministry of Law (MinLaw), the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Organs of State. This sector accounts for $1.29 billion or 3.3% of government expenditure in FY2007.
The Government Administration Sector aims to achieve the following outcomes:

Rule of Law
MinLaw will work with the Attorney-General’s Chambers to further strengthen the legal infrastructure.
The Legal Aid Bureau will provide quality advice legal advice, assistance and aid on civil matters to persons of limited means to ensure that justice is accessible to all.
The Courts will continue to process, manage and deliver a just decision according to the law in civil and criminal cases and applications.
Dynamic, Forward-Looking and Effective Public Service Leadership
$7 million will be allocated to fund PS21-related training courses to help enhance capability and capacity in the Public Service.
$10.9 million will be set aside to recruit PSC scholars and develop potential public sector leaders for the Civil Service.
Medium-Term Fiscal Sustainability
MOF will continue to encourage prudent spending by the Government through the management of sound financial policies, and establish clear limits by setting appropriate budget ceilings for the Government.
Efficient Allocation of Resources
MOF will continue to actively plan and ensure that public funds go towards areas of strategic priority, and achieve value for the Government’s money through the implementation of initiatives that encourage efficiency, effectiveness, and economy.
Customer-Centric Government
$21.87 million will be allocated to carry out i-Gov initiatives and projects such as personalized and customer-centric services on My.eCitizen and My.Business, a revamp of the Singapore Government Online Portal, and mobile-Government services for citizens and businesses.
