have great potential because of our hub status in the
Asia-Pacific region, the high quality of our workforce,
world-class infrastructure, and a conducive regulatory
environment. We have developed a wide range of services
– headquarters and professional services, info-communications
activities, creative industries, an international financial
centre, tourism, and logistics. This has diversified
our economy and created many jobs.
2.14 In this Budget I am taking specific measures to
grow financial services, logistics, and tourism. All
three industries benefit from, and contribute to, Singapore’s
hub position.
