| 2.47 Mr Speaker, the measures I have
outlined will help develop a dynamic and entrepreneurial
economy, and a skilled and adaptable workforce. But
Government can only put in place the enablers. Ultimately,
it is the private sector that creates wealth. The success
of our efforts to transform our economy depends on businesses
creating and seizing new opportunities, and people daring
to take risks in pursuit of their ideas. It is not the
role of Government to pursue specific business opportunities;
but rather to create a conducive environment and the
right incentives, and then let the private sector forge
ahead.
