Expenditure Overview

GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION

The Government Administration Sector consists of MOF, MinLaw, PMO and the Organs of State.

This sector consumes less than 6% of total expenditure.

The Government Administration sector focuses on achieving Good Government for Singapore. This comprises several aspects:

Partnership with the Private Sector

The expertise of the private sector will be harnessed through initiatives such as best sourcing. The Government will develop a financial infrastructure and business regulatory environment that is conducive to business and growth, and provide a system for the administration of insolvency cases that protects, balances and realises the interest of all stakeholders.

Flexibility and Responsiveness

Almost all feasible e-services have been made available on-line. The Government will continually improve the integrated e-services to make them more customer-centric, so that citizens will be able to access more public services anytime, anywhere.

Efficiency and Effectiveness

The Government will seek to deliver the most value from limited resources through initiatives such as the Zero-In-Process (ZIP) and the Economy Drive. The nation’s land resources will be maintained to enhance their value. Training and development will be provided to nurture a forward-looking public service.

Integrity and Incorruptibility

The Government will effectively administer justice, uphold the rule of law and enhance access to justice. It will also seek to inculcate core values in all civil servants.
