3.39 To encourage more companies to patent their
inventions and make Singapore an attractive base
for IP management, I have decided to complement
the Patent Application Fund Plus grant scheme
with tax deductions for the costs of patenting
an invention. This will apply to patenting costs
incurred on or after 1 June 2003.
