3.19 To lower business costs for private companies,
the government will remove the statutory requirement
for private companies to appoint professionally
qualified company secretaries. Although a private
company must still appoint a company secretary
to keep proper records, it is free to choose between
doing so internally and outsourcing the job to
professional company secretaries.
