4.1 The key changes in this budget are the corporate
and personal income tax cuts, the increase in
GST, and the GST offset package. These tax changes,
together with the offset measures, form a single
economic restructuring package. This package is
a critical element of our strategy to make Singapore
more competitive, and to create more jobs and
prosperity for Singaporeans.
